I am writing to you from the computer classroom at Kusayapu. Praise God. We have Internet! You cannot imagine the excitement we at Emana and Kusayapu feel at this moment! I am surrounded by students who are emailing family and friends that live 2 hours or more away and whom they have no contact with during the school week. This is a free connection for 3 years via satellite and gifted to us by Enlaces. The isolation we have felt from the rest of the world is now being replaced with the fact that we too are a part of it all.
In October the Jim Miller workteam from Birmingham, Michigan finished the new library which they began construction on 2 years ago. At this moment, the Frankfother workteam from Illinois is completing the move of materials from the old library to the new one. This new Internet access will allow us to place community computers in our library so that the persons living in the pueblo of Pachica may not only use of facility, but will also be able to sell their agricultural products and artisan goods via the Internet.
God has provided for us at Emana and Kusayapu this year in unexpected ways. But, isn’t that the way God works? If it were by our methods wouldn’t we be tempted to take credit for it?
We thank you for your prayers and ask that they continue. God has heard your clamoring and has responded, and we have faith He will continue to do so. From the depths of my heart I send you Thanksgiving greetings and pray His abundant blessings be recognized and received by each of you.
Con cariño,
